Donating

This past week, I've done some donating, and I feel great about it. After going to Safeway to buy some corn, I ended having 83 cents back as my change. While I was walking out the store, I saw a homeless man sitting nearby. I notice I had the coins in my hands, so I decided to walk up to him, and gave it to him. He was so happy. When I saw his face smiled, it made me feel good about myself. I usually don't give money to homeless people, because I always believe that the reason they are poor, has a lot to do with their life style choices. However, there are those people who are just unfortunate and were born in a situation like that.

My second donation was this past Saturday. I went to a Children's Hospital Charity event, and there were performances by Gabe Bondoc, and Cathy Nguyen. I realized as the doors open for this event, many of the people walked past the charity case box, and sped to the podium to meet the performers. They didn't care for Children's hospital. They came to see the singers. Honestly, I was there for the singers as well, but I though about it. Why not help out a child? I ended up donating a whole $10 to the charity. I felt really good about it. Knowing I can help save a child with just $10 made me feel like I've changed a kid's life.

ps. sorry I haven't wrote a new post in so long.

Cheaper way of donating, is volunteering ;]. And they smile even more. With the exception of last christmas (duty =[), every morning on the 25th I'd volunteer with these people that handed out bags of free clothing and food. We'd go to the slums, announce it publicly in a parking lot that we're handing stuff out and also walk up to their doors and hunt them down if they didn't come to get some, and we'd hand stuff to them at the door. Its a lot more fun and less dangerous then it sounds, and a lot hotties be volunteering. You would not imagine. At least where I'm at.

Glad that you donated to charity.

I've not bumped into any situations where charity has opened up its doors to me. I did buy girl scout cookies from a girl at wal-mart.

I gave the girl working at creative pastry a tip, because she made be a bombass cupcake.
